Climate Northern Ireland

Climate Northern Ireland is an inter-sectoral network devoted to increasing public understanding of the climate change impacts and risks we are likely to face in Northern Ireland and promoting the necessary adaptation actions. It is funded by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, which holds the climate change portfolio for government.

The partnership brings together members from a range of disciplines – and from all sectors - to share best practice and promote positive action to address the impacts of a changing climate. It acts as a primary point of contact for all aspects of climate change, promoting a more co-ordinated and coherent approach that adds value to the work of its members. Sustainable NI contributes to the Climate NI Steering Group by reflecting a local government perspective on the mitigation and adaptation agendas. See the Climate NI website for more information.
